ty the screenshots, i got it

you actually found a really interesting edge-case. i looked into the code and figured out exactly what was happening. basically, when the plugin exported the generated matrix to the gradient engine, it was secretly adding about 30% of 1x1 micro-noise to try and "smooth out" flat shapes.

at scale 1, it just looked like normal dithering. but when you scaled it up, that 1x1 noise stayed the same size and clashed with the scaled-up circles, creating those weird fractal shapes and crosses inside them!

i've completely fixed this. the math is now 100% clean. i even made a comparison image for you to show the difference (attached)! if you use halftone at scale, you will get perfect, clean comic-book style circles without any weird artifacts.

however... the glitched version actually looked kind of cool and unique, so i decided not to delete it completely! i kept the old behavior as an optional checkbox called "fractals" in the ui.

i'm releasing the big 1.0 update today (or tomorrow)with this fix.

f you ever find any other weird bugs, please definitely let me know. and if it's not too much trouble, leaving a rating for the bundle would mean the world to me ><
