A funny thing I experimented with in sandbox is letting quads or octs carry reactors filled with a bit of thorium (they do not explode while being carried by a unit) and then dropping them.
it actully can explode BUT if u need to setting Payload Update on it can even make turret shoot while ship carring it (sorry for my bad english)
