- Graphics : Fine but ASCII is a bit much for me nowadays.
- GUI : Due to it being largely ascii , it can be very hard to parse or find certain relevant information.
- Performance : Fine
- Music / Sfx :
- Music : Fine
- SFX : Fine
- Gameplay : Kind of fine but I think it needs some work, it's an ASCII 'demade' monaca type of game.
- Notes :
- The colors on difficulty might want to be swapped around a bit or the verbiage? Is low or Minor the 'lesser' of the two difficulties , as it is minor being yellow would presumably be the harder one.
- I have no idea if it's due to the difficulty I chose but certain things seemed incredibly easy or completely lacking in punishment for the player.
- Killing people seems to have no punishment , we're supposed to be a thief not a murderer
- Having guards see you or even having alarms go off seems to basically do nothing, guards are practically Elder Scrolls level of attention retention or threat assessment , they quickly just kinda go back to status quo despite having found Johnny dead a minute ago , they don't stay on alert, call for back up (I think they do but seemed inconsistent) , call external police or security forces, etc.
- Why are we slapping (ko'ed) folks to move em?
- Conman's disguise seemed to do practically nothing?
- It'd be nice if there was more permanent options to deal with things like the laser tripwires , disabling them for them just to turn on in 10 or so turns and trap you in the middle of a bunch of other tripwires is..not great
- I can only speak for the one building I played on , but some of the building layout is a bit weird, either due to ASCII , randomly genned or diagonal movement being intended, unsure as to what.
- I like the idea that it seems to carry money and items between missions , would like to see that used a bit more where maybe you could hire others to do things for you (disable a few tripwires , bribe guards to call in sick, etc) or upgrade your base from an apartment into a house.
- Turrets aren't easy to parse where their targeting range is and whether or not they can or will see you.
- It feels very easy to just avoid damage from turrets (most of the time) and fight guards, but this could've been a difficulty of the mission I chose thing.
- Stats and characters might not have enough to make them be any better choice over others.
- Final Thoughts : Overall I like the idea of the game, but I think it has a few shortcomings that need to get buffed out. I might revisit the game to get a better idea of the game's current state, I only gave it about 20m.
