I played the downloaded version of this game.

I really liked the idea of this game, with the character somehow sucked into a game that has some ties to a childhood show he watched. The pixel art was well done and managed to convey the sense of creepiness in the environment.  The host reminded me of the caricature of a sleezy used car salesman, so of course I instantly didn't trust him.  LOL

The title screen felt weird, like a bubbled feel.  I wasn't sure if that was an intentional attempt to mimic a CRT or not, but it felt a bit excessive compared to what CRTs were like.   There also were a few places where the translations were missing, for example, when dying to the monster things.  Fortunately, I could still figure out what the options meant.

The mechanic with the monsters was confusing to me.  The game said to shine the light on them, but that only slowed them down.  Since I can't walk backwards, it just delayed the inevitable death unless I could make it to a door fast.  From the text in the game, I thought it would at least stop them fully for a bit, like a stun effect, versus just slowing them down.  It didn't help that the hall and rooms were so big and wide; it was hard to figure out where to go because I was having to swipe the light back and forth just to see the edges of the halls.

Overall, I think it has good bones, but the mechanics could use a bit of work still unless it's supposed to be a more punishingly difficult game.
