I am amazed with this game! The game goes for this Text Style Graphic and it really goes for it by basing the soundtrack on an 8-bit beat. The map generation is for the most part great, just a quick note that it had some rooms with only a door leading to a wall, but it was the exception! Each character has a personality and a brief background, something that I loved. It reminds me of some games of similar gameplay, like Invisible Inc. and Sneaky Stealy, that you can take inspiration from. However, I have to note that, unlike Invisible Inc., this is a team of one game. Likewise, patience and comprehension are very needed, because I am sure that the creator would like to add a billion things, so I just suggest focusing on the very, very basic and not trying to add an enormous idea, like a story with XP-based progression with unlocking new items or missions. My final thoughts are that it could have a heat progression bar, like if the alarm is going off for 50 turns, backup arrives or the target is moved to a panic room. Thank you for the fun and hard work!<3

Edit: Maybe, but just maybe, I would enjoy a Enemy Catalog or something like that. The stat upgrade is only available for Arcade mode by pressing ‘S’. So, is it better to use ‘Charmer’ for the all-around stats in Classic in the long run?

Hi Blended Cookie! I appreciate the thoughtful and kind comment. Yeah, the procedural generation algorithm still sometimes spits out odd structures (that I am still fiddling with!) and one of them is the ‘door to nowhere’ which I believe comes about due to how I place ’themed’ rooms around the map during generation.

Also, thanks for the idea with the enemy catalog; was definitely something I’ve been thinking about (even since the very first version of Flemenco) but have never gotten around to! This will be in the next update. Also, in terms of stat upgrades, these will be rebalanced and changed (with more progression options for the main game mode) in the next update.

Thanks for playing!
