I'm also learning pixel art and so far I've learned to keep them tiny we're talking like 16x16 pixels max and to use a premade palette cause color theory is another skill to learn.
oh, um... (^▽^;) taking a quick glance at my current sprite size, and it's... 96x192 lmao. bit of a nightmare as a novice(esp when it comes to walk cycles (╥_╥)) but i am nothing if not a stubborn fool; i'll make it work somehow.
thankfully, i really like playing around with color, so that aspect has been pretty breezy, for the most part, tho i will pop on lospec from time to time to check out what the cool kids are up to.
