I love how simple the loop is, and still it’s engaging enough. The quick play-die-play again reminds of old arcade games, the only thing missing is a high score list you could put your name into and hope one day you beat your older brother :D Real nostalgia in the concept
Yeah, arcade-y is what I was going for! Even the font is named “Press Start 2P”.
I wanted to add a high score list, but I added just the normal scoring waaay too late had to keep the scope small for the deadline.
I thought this was a pretty interesting concept
Very cool and original concept! I saw you posted a git link for the code on the page, but it does not seem to work :( I would love to see the code, it seems very interesting. Great job overall!

Gonna let you know now though that the code has a bunch of unused stuff/unfufilled TODOs and questionable attempts at architecture. Outside of the LazyFont and my use of dataclasses for the boid behavior simulation, I can’t recommend some of the practices in there at the moment. Not sure when it’s appropriate to upload a new version though….

Simplicity is great. The concept was nice.
i'm a sucker for simple games with fun loops. this scratched that itch! great job :)
