It is an interesting puzzle mechanic which has quite a lot of potentials. However, the game in its current state might put people off before they get to actually learn about the game mechanics and enjoy it. Noted a couple of observations below which I hope would be helpful:
Overall, the game mechanic has potential! Keep up the good work!
Also, would appreciate if can also try out my game and share your thoughts :) Jam page
Thanks for the feedback. You game looks interesting. I will play it later because I am on mobile.
I can tell this is a puzzle game with a lot of passion behind it. I really liked the mechanics you introduced in the tutorial, and you show a lot of fun ways they interact right from the start.
I believe the game itself could communicate to players a better sense of game progress. It's a little obtuse, overall. Like on the pause screen, you can still move your character and shift between worlds, but it seems to distract from the actual functions of the menu. (I was confused a bit at first what the circles and lines meant, before I realized that made the map of the game). I don't mind the idea of doing that for a map, but combined with the pause screen makes the idea behind it a bit muddled.
The camera also could use a bit of polish. I didn't realize at first it was swapping between levels, and was a bit afraid to progress because I wasn't sure what the next space would hold for me.
Lastly, the game could use a bit more visual cohesion. Assets seem to be at different pixel ratios, and that can be a bit distracting.
That all said, I'd love to see what the polished version of this game looks like. It's got a lot of passion behind it and you've shown you can use the central mechanic in interesting ways. Glad I got the chance to check it out!
I really like the gameplay concept, but I keep forgetting to switch realities and dying,
Also, it might be better if the music didn't restart during minor scene transitions, like going from the main menu to the settings menu.
User experience ended at the level 1.C1 , surely the end of Demo and no more levels done.
Much better than any game about the moving square.
I have collected many stars to use them for Rating.
On 1.C1, you were supposed to go all the way down to reach the next level. The current version ends at 3.G (34 levels).
