Theme interpretation and application
Journies are all about travelling from point A to point B. In this game you will travel from point A to point B to point A to a secret 3rd point.
Limitation incorporation
I picked pie. There are 5 slices of pie in the game you will find along your journey. The game's initials are also AMVE. I also lighthopped this in 4 days. Also there are definitely no furries in the game.

Got 2 pies but gave up on the rest, I can't figure out how to get a lot of the higher up ones with all the jank. I don't know how I feel about the game being intentionally glitchy and janky - most of the glitches and jank just felt awkward and inconsistent rather than funny or interesting to exploit.
Moving and dashing feels decent, but there's some weirdness with the gravity (or maybe just the vertical momentum?) where the player plummets to the ground when walking off a ledge, which pretty consistently felt bad.
Thank you for the feedback! Yeah I think either gravity is too strong or the force of gravity is accumulated until walking off a ledge.
I think I soft locked myself every time I tried to experiment with the jank, although at some point I couldn't tell what is intentional jank and what is just jank. I do enjoy the concept and the humour!
Neat idea to lean into glitches and jank as a design choice. I will say, I think the game maybe could've done more to present itself as being deliberately jank? I had played it for a little bit before reading the text on the game page, and I assumed the jankiness was unintentional initially. Still, I thought that aspect was executed pretty well once I realized that that was the intent.
I like how the little bit in parenthesis at the end of the bubble and menu ability descriptions telling you not to do something hints at a specific use for those abilities. Though, I'm not sure if this was intentional, but the laser ability appears to not do anything even if you use its "hint".
The menu + dash trick is pretty cool. Managed to get the bubble ability using it, which is a neat way to do it if you don't get it from the starting drop.
Overall, the game was a bit confusing with its intent, but it was still neat.
Thank you! The laser is definitely underdeveloped, it's meant to keep you floating in the air to cross large gaps.
Ah, I see now. I was expecting it to push the player upwards when shooting at the ground; didn't expect for it to act like a hover.
The controls were kind of confusing in how to maneuver around. Certain platforms were impossible to reach unless I mashed the controls and my player would sometimes just float into the air or through a wall. I'm not sure if that's intentional, but I did have a good time hopping around the map and getting caught in amongus jail!
Not sure about the floating but there is intentional wall clipping yes. Glad you had a good time thanks for the feedback!
