i love the game, but lowkey the fandom is starting to get kinda toxic T-T like if i say i prefer Harlequin ill have people going on a 30 minute rant that "oh he SA'd the MC, oh hes a bad character, oh if you like him that makes you a bad person" and shit, even though he didnt???
i used to like Pierrot as my favorite but then i realized i kin him (im a fiction-kin) so now Harle is my favorite :3 but yeah people really take the "oh Harlequin is a bad character" thing to far but you never really see anybody saying things about Pierrot because hes a yandere and people love yandere characters
I’ve learned to just ignore it tbh. Most of the fanbase is chill but there are always outliers. I saw a lot of the Harlequin/Pierrot is “objectively” better/worse. Fortunately I think those people will likely be drowned out over time. fact is both are toxic that’s the whole point folks just gotta embrace media literacy a little more.
well to be fair, humans haved treated them pretty terribly too. I’d kind of imagine they think eating humans is fair game considering they’ve seen humans can be monsters too. Basically the MC (and the boss) are the only genuinely decent people, but even in MC’s case that could be debatable depending on how the story goes.
