mork borg is the elephant in the room, but let's address them: i would play this game while i nevere had any itch to play mb. I would, but i would also need a loro of prep to make this all work. Yet, i would know how to do this work, because mood and vibes are set clearly and with elegance. In the end a charming work, not the most solid but one of the most powerful
I appreciate your comment, thank you!! I'm so glad that you connected with the plot/storyline, and also that you would know how to lean into the prep work. Some of the feedback I've gotten has also emphasized that it'd take a lot of prep work to run, and I actually think I'm going to do a revised edition after the voting period ends to take some of that prep work OFF of the future game master's hands. :) I appreciate your comment because it makes me feel like that work to make it easier to play will be worth it!
good use of the public domain images for the cover, I like the doom scenario that’s happening around here. I would play it with MÖRK Borg definitely on this one.
Great lore and cover art, but could be more gameable. This is a strong intro to an adventure!
Thanks so much for your time reading this, and consider your note heard! I'm looking forward to revising this after the voting period is over, because I would love to make this easier to pick up and play. I haven't done much adventure module writing like this, so the feedback of an outside perspective is super helpful!
The visuals are amazing and heavily set the tone of the module. I really enjoy the premise of the adventure and the open-endedness nature of it (much like the prophecies themselves), but I find it hard to think how to fit the players into the dooms, as the one verb that is described is for them to investigate, and that is quite abstract. It could be nice to know of a few more challenges or dilemmas to present the characters experiencing the dooms. The dragged sea creatures are a nice actionable event, for example.
This is such a helpful piece of feedback, thank you so much for taking the time to write it out! I can totally see what you mean, and I'm definitely going to think about how I could add some more concrete details that could turn into actionable events for when I eventually do a revision/future iteration of this.
I like this a lot. Just enough mechanics to keep things ticking over and lots of juicy evocative bits to chew on. One of the best public domain covers in the jam too, nice job.
Nice premise. I would have liked a bit more options for the players. Can't understand if it's meant to be played in a historical setting or this Nostradamus is a seer in a fantasy world.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read and comment! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I get what you mean about looking for more options and specificity - I'm hoping to do a revision after the jam voting period is over, and this is really helpful to factor in and consider. Always so helpful to get that outside perspective to point out the gaps between things that feel clear in my head and things that didn't get translated neatly on to the page.
