NeonStrip Weekly Development Update 9.18.2026 — Police Station, Vehicles & World Improvement

Hey everyone!

Another week of NeonStrip development is complete. This week I've been working on several areas of the game, including the Police Station, Volt-X Gas Station, vehicle cameras, Third-Person Controller, and various smaller improvements.

Police Station

Development on the Police Station interior has officially started!

Players can now walk directly in and out of the Police Station from the game world. The interior is currently in the early greybox stage, so I'm focusing on establishing the layout and gameplay spaces before moving on to textures, furniture, props, lighting, and other details.

I've also made several additions to the exterior, with more improvements planned.

Volt-X Gas Station

I've finished updating the interior and exterior textures of the Volt-X Gas Station.

This is part of my ongoing effort to revisit existing locations and improve their overall detail and visual consistency instead of only focusing on expanding the size of the world.

Vehicle Improvements

Driving received several improvements this week as well.

• Fixed camera transition issues when exiting vehicles.
• Improved vehicle camera positioning and transitions.
• Made additional changes to the vehicle camera system.
• You can now look around while sitting in the driver's seat.

Third-Person Controller & Other Improvements

I've also continued refining character movement and camera behavior, including smoother movement and fixes for problematic camera angles.

Several underlying systems have received compatibility updates as I continue moving the project forward with a newer Editor version.

There have also been various UI fixes, gameplay adjustments, compatibility improvements, and general bug fixes throughout the week.

More to Come

The Police Station is still very early in development, so there is plenty more work ahead for both the interior and exterior.

I'll continue improving existing locations alongside the gameplay systems that make the world more interactive and functional.

Thanks to everyone following NeonStrip's development. More progress coming soon!  Check out NeonStrip Game Page for more information.
