Yeah, I completely agree. After what happened to me, I actually started looking into whether my case was unique, and of course it wasn’t. There are quite a lot of people in the same situation I even found plenty of Reddit posts describing basically the same problem.
I’m just glad mine got resolved quickly, because for some people it takes a few days, or even more than a week.
And yeah, Patreon is basically a complete monopoly at this point, so it is what it is. Although honestly, any company is going to think about profit first, so even if a new competitor appears, there’s always a chance that if it becomes successful enough, it could eventually turn out even worse than Patreon.
I don’t really count SubscribeStar here, because from what I’ve seen, the reach there is much smaller.
