just out of curiosity, will there be a way to carry over a save/update the old version to the new? Or will it be a 'You have to start over to play Chapter 3 eventually'?

It already does >vv< as it says on the game page, your save data is at:
- PC: C:\Users\yourName\AppData\LocalLow\Bayden\Monster Mystery (There is also a button to open the file location under the misc -> save data options in the game).
- Android: Internal Storage\Android\data\com.Bayden.MonsterMystery\files
It's completely separate from your executable (assuming you're on PC), so you can delete old versions of the game and run new ones without worrying about that
(If you're on Android, uninstalling the app does delete all data along with it in my experience, so to update it, just run the newest .apk and it should be fine)
