Theme Interpretation
the player needs to stop blue energy generators to avoid impending doom for their cult! also wildcard selection is broken so I'll just say I used "tag along"

I like the concept of a timer, I like the Egypt-like song, but the progression feels a bit slow and some action just feel like pausing too much, but love the game overal

Developer

thanks! I didn’t do quite a good job making the game feel more action packed lol!

Main character is very cute! The platforming mechanics could maybe use a little tuning but overall great job!

Developer

thanks man!

It's a platformer, so the feedback may feel quite obvious...

  • The jump mechanic feels floaty and a bit weird (maybe you intended it like this, but I can't really tell from the game)
  • Hitboxes for the "Q" ability feel weird (you stop a few meters before the obstacle and get stuck, the ability itself can be used only on this stuck range)
  • If I didn't read your comment about the theme, I wouldn't tell it's connected

Anyway, it's a great start!

Developer

yeah thanks for the comment! The floaty jump is my fault as I’m not used to making platformers in godot 4 lol

Also the reason you stop a while before hitting the wall is mostly because of a soft lock I couldn’t fix in code so stopping a while before hitting the wall was the only way I found to kind of fix it! Anyways thank you for playing <3

I see the door destroyed at 5 meter of me :(.

Developer

lol yes that bug was mostly because there’s an area2d in the hand and when that area2d enters the trigger zone for the door then the door will be gone

Left it in as a speedrun strategy!
