This had a really nice classic arcade feel to it. The timer, score chasing, and simple movement make it really easy to jump in and immediately understand what you’re supposed to be doing.

The game also ran super smoothly for me, and the controls felt responsive and familiar. I didn’t hear any audio during my playthrough, so adding some sound effects or music could probably give the whole thing a little more energy.

Overall, I think the core idea is solid. Simple, clean, and fun to pick up and play.

For a first game, and a solo project this was great!

You mentioned a bunch of stuff you didn’t get manage to get functional, but the core gameplay loop you did get was solid.

The controls were nice, and you got to an end screen. That’s half the battle.

Loved the animations and the pixel art as well.

Good job!

Beautiful art! I was confused that dig was meant to get something (like the treasure), but I guess you are just dodging around for as long as you can, right? Thank you so much for remappable controls!
