Amazing that this was made in 9 days! It's well written and the visuals are lovely

Pretty good prose. I'm pretty impressed you managed to create this in just 9 days. I'm curious how you handled the "states" of the different days and ensuring that everything was where it was meant to be and the events triggered correctly one after another.

Thank you very much! English isn't my native language, and I’ve hardly written any fiction in it. The initial concept was much broader, and we plan to create a post-jam version.

Thanks for playing it! The artist/storywriter did a great job. On the coding side, I had to make sure the dialogs and the events trigger at the right time.

We kept the story linear so it is easier to track game state. The dialogs are chained to trigger flag changes in certain order. Each interactive object or room script checks the flags to know what to show and what to hide, and which interactions to allow.

Day transitions trigger certain flags, apply visual effects like fade to black, reset the room scene, teleport the player, and trigger a specific "morning" dialog. The game state is continuous across days otherwise.

I really enjoyed the minigames overall, and the story was nice!

Thank you!

had some bugs when playing

rooms with wrong numbers, no laptop in my room, couldnt have breakfast, no guitar in lounge

cant enter staff room even after picking lock (took embarrasingly longfor me to pick lock lmao)

struggled to find freight elevator

Overall a really pretty and interesting game! I think there were just some issues with where interactables were

Didn't have any music other than when playing guitar, not sure if thats a bug though cus of description

I had fun gambling and playing guitar and enjoyed the game :)

Thanks for flagging this. We were scrambling to meet the deadline and had to submit a bug fix after that. There are still ways to break the game, but at least it is now playable when following the storyline.
