It's incredible that you managed to do such a beast of game in the limited amount of time we had, and in 3d no less. Muy currado, y además divertidísimo!

Awesome game!, love the roguelike mechanics and neat upgrade system. my shield stopped working at some time, but other than that the game is extremely well designed and polished!

This was really well done and a lot of fun to play. Everything felt very polished and worked well together

Good job making a clean 3d game in such a short time. The art and sound design are both very good. Would like to note a few things:

  • took me a bit to figure out to use the mouse to shoot as i could do the menu with the mouse
  • In the settings menu i couldn’t figure out how to scroll down to see the controlls
  • For the future there is lag the first time a particle is used(in this case killing something) you need to have the game precompile the particle shader
  • the hurtboxes felt very inconsistant but that could just me being bad at aiming

Don’t let the comments above fool you, i did like it which is why i’ve done a bit more of an indepth comment than normal

Developer

Thanks so much for playing and for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback!

The game was originally designed to support all kinds of controllers, and when we added mouse support, we kind of mixed things up a bit, haha!

The lag was a known issue with the WebGL version, especially with some explosions using GPU particles and noise textures. We actually added a shader prewarming system to the loading screen, where we precompile the shaders and load the effects into VRAM before gameplay starts. It worked pretty well for most effects, but we ran out of time to get everything working properly, especially the muzzle flashes. If you try the desktop version, you'll notice it runs much more smoothly!

And now that you mention the hurtboxes, I just realized we actually used the world colliders for hit detection instead of dedicated hurtboxes! That's definitely something we could improve to make combat feel more fluid.

Thanks again for the feedback! Really glad you enjoyed the game!

Fun little tanks game! I think the art was really good but I think whenever you started getting riddled with attacks and the explosion shaders built up around you it was impossible to recover, which might have been the point.

Developer

Thanks for playing!  There’s actually a green wrench pickup that lets you repair your tank and recover some health!
