Really enjoyed this once I got the hang of it!

Love a top down map game, and nuclear hot potato fits imminent doom really well.

Enjoyed the newspaper segments as well!

Good job!

Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I had fun. Rules were a little confusing at first, but that's probably a me-issue.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Out of curiosity, what did you find confusing in the rules?

Submitted(+1)

More than anything it was my limited attention span for reading-the-directions, and not really understanding what the shields were supposed to represent. The bomb would come to me, and I would click someone else; it was mid-game that I started to realize that the shields worked as something like a counter.

I'm sure you explained it in the text; I'm just saying that it wasn't very self-declarative or obvious in the game.

Developer(+1)

That's valid! I wish we had figured out a way to make it more self evident within the game play.

Either way, I'm glad you had fun! Thank you for the feedback!

Great vibe and the newspapers are awesome. The game is simple and fun, even if sometimes you just watch without getting teh bomb. Still works really well and has a lot of charm.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked it!

Good job on the game! Very cozy in periods like this, I enjoyed most the narrative and the vibe

Developer

Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Most of the work on that front was Ncarracing64, and I agree that he did a fantastic job!

I loved the newspaper and the graphics, and it's so cool that you had time to do different modes, even with the atomic hot potato it's a kinda chill game, great work!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!

Cool and funny game! At times I was never passed the potato so I just kinda watch it go to the other places for like 3 minutes lol

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! The game sometimes playing itself is an unfortunate side effect of the concept😅 Alliance mode is a liitle better in that regard, because it doubles your odds of getting the "potato".

Thank you for playing!

It is truly a wonderful game with a brilliant future. I hope you try my game [/jam/godot-wild-jam-97/rate/5012681]

Thank you for the kind words! I'll be sure to check yours out this evening!

I loved how straightforward this game was. An interesting strategy game that is pretty quick to play! Well done. Only note is the explosion sfx is comically loud

Developer(+1)

I glad you liked it! Yeah, I wish I had done something different with the explosion sfx. If I do a post jam update, thats high up on the list for me.

Thank you for playing!

Pretty funny newspapers! Alliance mode is definitely better

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing!

Neat game! I liked the newspaper clippings, they were pretty funny.

Developer(+2)

Thank you! The newspapers were Ncarracing64's idea, and may be my favorite addition to the game.

Cool interpretation of the theme, but I spent most of my time not playing the game. I figure alliance mode is meant to help with that?

Developer(+1)

Yeah, its an unfortunate side effect of the randomness in the game. Alliance is a little better in that regard, and allows a little more strategy on the player's side.

Thanks for giving the game a try!
