How does your game meet GBJam's theme
Douglas had his beloved Old Gold whisky recipe stolen, and it's the player's job to get it back. "Old Gold" here is the name of the whisky, but also represents a very valuable thing for Douglas.

This was an absolute pleasure to play! Reminded me of raiding the evil team's hideout in classic Pokemon games... but with booze :') Feel's like you thought of everything - gameplay, art style and audio are all great. 10/10

Thanks for reviewing our game! Yeah, it was heavily inspired in these pokemon raids and game feel 😁

I like the gameplay being similar to undertale and FNF as if they were made in gameboy. Loved it. One of my favorite entries for sure.

Damn! What a great game! It really feels like something from 1995. The music is really good, the aesthetic is amazing, and the combat gameplay is very diverse. I really liked it!

I really enjoyed the game! You can feel the soul of Game Boy titles right from the very first seconds. Although the interpretation of the theme is quite simple, the gameplay is very engaging; I even struggled a bit with the final boss—his attacks were incredibly unpredictable. Also, I’m not sure why, but during the QTE sequence (where the character is drinking), the game didn't seem to register my 'Z' key press when using the Z/X layout.

The visual style was a real highlight, too—especially the effect where everything on the screen goes wavy.

All in all, the game deserves high marks.

Hey! Thank you so much for reviewing our game! I've just checked it here and there's a bug with the Z key - it's being registered as both A and B, we let this one pass :(

I'm glad you liked it!
