Controls are slippery, shooting enemies is very VERY hard, i suggest you do auto-attack that shoots at the nearest enemy instead of that, its very confusing. Artstyle is great and if you improve the gameplay i can see it being good!

Liked the enemy variety a lot, feels like there's a really solid game in here

I enjoyed this quite a bit! Walking feels a bit slippery, which can make taking out the faster enemies a bit frustrating. I was pleasantly surprised by the enemy variety; I think you've really got something here!

I think it would be better if the game started in a room where you could get used to movement and shooting, (which can only shoot 4 directions due to GB Limitations), before going straight into the action. There's also no indication of what the upgrades do unless you try them out yourself (I understood the health upgrade, though). Once you do get used to the controls and slow shooting, though, it becomes a tense and fun game containing enemies with unique traits you can learn (even if they become repetitive after a while).

The use of Midas really fits the theme of gold. I liked the abstract art direction and the music is atmospheric despite not sounding like it came from a Game Boy (though I found it abruptly cutting to the beginning quite distracting at points).

Overall, I can really see this working well as a Game Boy interpretation of Binding of Isaac's gameplay despite its issues.

Thank you for the feedback :D. I sadly didn't have time to add descriptions for the upgrades, and I agree that a starting room would've probably been a good idea.

controls are VERY difficult, i cannot even fathom how to shoot an enemy. I think it needs a different way of attacking or aiming, Otherwise i can see it being very good!

Yea, I tried to make it easier to shoot by letting you shoot in a direction while holding z. But I agree that a second form of attack would have made the game more fun. Thank you for the feedback :D
