This one definitely has a sense of humor to it. I got a kick out of picking a spell and then realizing the “magic item” was a burnt matchstick, a cup of coffee, or a fidget spinner depending on what I chose.

The core idea is funny, and I think there’s something here, but the presentation makes it harder to get into than it needs to be. The small first-person embed made the mouse feel extremely twitchy for me, and the environment is visually pretty flat right now. It’s mostly grey brick corridors, very little lighting, and not much helping the spaces feel distinct.

I’d love to see the joke carried further into the level design and presentation, because the spell/item concept has personality. Better lighting, stronger environmental contrast, and some mouse sensitivity options would go a long way.

Also, definitely give the itch page some love. A few screenshots, a short explanation of the premise, and clearer controls would make the whole project feel much more inviting before you even hit Run Game.

For a jam build, though, the weird little magic system made me laugh, and that’s probably the part I’ll remember most.

I'm always a sucker for FMV graphics so I was delighted to see this :) It freezes when projectiles hit an enemy for the first time and occasionally on the first shot of each weapon once loaded in. I really enjoyed the 3 spells, Lightning could use a bit of a buff but i loved the tea cup one. All around very solid use of the perspective shift wildcard :) Good work!!

But I didn't die! Well, at first I did, then I figured out how to reload lol. I liked the spell graphics. Tea seemed rather overpowered compared to the others. Good job! :)

I want to like it as i like dungeon crawlers, but not being able to adjust the mouse sensitivity plus the lag spikes when i do hit things made it difficult to use.
