How does your game meet GBJam's theme
The player must pursue and utilize a material known as Rarium, which has existed for a long time in the game's world and promises the power of magic to those who wield it, but has yet to be found and harnessed by anyone.

The tutorial music was a bit too intense, but the other tracks were great. The game is cool and very complete. I really liked the art and color choice. Good work!
I'm so intrigued by the spell mechanics! I look forward to what other levels you come up with. This is a really fun game and I loved all the character art!
Great game and art style is nice. I gave up at the claustrophobic level though I might try again sometime later.
Thats the last level, funnily enough :P Thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Nice art and overall very fun to play. However, I couldn't get past Driveby because I didn't have enough Rarium. To get more I replayed other levels, but upon returning my Rarium was reset. Cool concept and nice job fitting all these features into so few controls.
I’ll look to attempt to recreate the bug and apply a fix in the post-jam update. If you wish to play through a second time, it may help to know that level is known to be solvable even if you start with 0 rarium.
The art was gorgeous. The story was quite interesting, and the puzzles were neat. It was really cool to have so many different possible solutions to every level, and the resource management was interesting. My only concern is how much explaining of the controls you had to get through on some levels, and if you restarted those levels you had to go through that dialogue again. Really cool game!
Definitely a big ticket item for a post jam build. I'm glad you enjoyed and thanks for the kind words!
That was beautiful honestly, loved it. I especially loved the music, I'm a huge fan of chiptunes and that was really scratching that itch for me. I loved the color choice, as well as the cool art. It was cool the pirate lady reminds me of Sigourney Weaver, especially on that end picture. I finished with 1 Rarium to spare even. Very cool, A++
Cool game! Getting offed by the first sword guard nearly gave me a heart attack haha - they're ruthless
Cool puzzle game! I think I mighta gotten softlocked in an area because I didn't have enough mana going into it, or maybe it's a skill issue. :)
Love the music especially. :D
I rlly liked this puzzle game! Especially the creative ways to get rid of the guards. Great job!
Just played the game, the visuals are amazing and scene transitions worth of a gameboy game. I don
I also don.
O SHIT I FORGOT TO COMPLETE THE POST :Sob:
"Makes sense. I would also risk my life for Lagrange!"
Wonderful! 💚 A simple, yet complex high-score puzzle game with highly compelling art and character design, and a driving prog rock soundtrack that captures the allure and the danger. The music cutting out on death is a perfect touch. I was enraptured the whole way through! Quite interesting that the guards are so quick to slay their own; perhaps they expect to be betrayed by their companions?
Very minor nitpick: In the text, whole words may start in one line and then "skip" to the next line after reaching the edge, creating a little tension when reading while it's typing. There's some ways around this, such as predicting where breaks should be inserted after spaces (easier with a monospaced font) or by creating the whole words beforehand and then "revealing" them letter by letter.
All-in-all, fantastic! Great work!
Yeah theres actually a fairly elegant implementation in GML using text_width to predict when a word would rollover and prewrap it. Never got around to implementing it. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
Also I'm pretty sure you beat my score 💀
Knowing I beat a developer score prompted me to play again while recording so that you could verify everything is behaving as intended. I'm a bit unsure if the interaction with walking past the guards while they're walking is intentional or not.
I may have overthought it a bit.
[ SPOILER WARNING ]
But yeah, great time! 💚
Driveby, the guard should be guarding the exit, this only accounted for a small save. The real kicker is your 4 pebble solution to the final level. The interaction with walking past guard is intended (was originally an accident), but I hadn't thought to use it for that level. Well done! I'll send you a message if we end up making some more levels in case you would like to playtest them!
That is a generous offer! 💚 But I'm sure I'll be quite busy by then (my apologies). Game jams in particular just tend to bring out my competitive spirit!
Wait, you got a 14 rarium clear? That's nuts! (EDIT: Just saw the cheese clear on the Driveby level, good job finding that!)
Love the idea! Execution of the art + music was awesome, really loved all the lil cut scenes and close shots of all the characters. Great job!
Thank you very much for your kind words!
Very good audio tracks, but none for the main menu. That surprised me, given the quality of the other tracks. A very good game with a strong narrative effort. Glad I had the chance to test it out :D
I think I was just paranoid because I've had title audio brick on HTML builds, its in no way a reflection of the awesome composing ability of redlaserbm. Thanks for playing!
