I had a lot of fun with this game! The sound track was really nice and I love the design of the character and the dragon.  I could definitely imagine me as a kid being obsessed with a game like this.  As soon as I started to think "Man, this is easy," the difficulty started to increase and I ate my words. My one critique is that when the screen would shake things got pretty disorienting and sometime it took me a few seconds to get my bearings on the game again, but hey, maybe that was by design. Well done!

This is a fun little game. I found all the attacks to be well telegraphed. While the color palette feels "Gameboy", other aspects of the game, such as mouse controls in the menu and non pixelated UI elements, do not feel "Gameboy". Nice work with the game.

It's great that you're using Godot—cool music and game! 🔥 If you have the time, I'd be happy if you rated my game.

I'm not sure if mouse controls are allowed, even for main menus (per "Game Boy controls" rule). The game itself is fun, although I ran into a situation where I was hit by a fireball and knocked back into a laser, instantly killing me (the laser hit me twice). Some fine-tuning on the invincibility length might've been in order, but I enjoyed the game nevertheless. Congrats, and I wish you the best.

Oops good point! I did miss out the main menu part. Thanks for the comments and playing.

Best score: 467

It’s really cool what you’ve made here. It really feels like a Game Boy game. The art style is great, and the knight’s greed is a nice touch that fits the old-school gold theme really well.

I liked how you drew the dragon head and its fire attacks. Good music and sound effects. Gameplay was short but fun. I would add some stalagtites or rocky texture to the underside of the platforms to make them look more realistic

Thanks for playing and the comments; and yes agree the cavern needs work and looked kinda plain. I need to learn how to add paralax stuff next time.

This was a pretty cool game! I liked the art style. Pretty short though--I wish it was longer, with more story! Also, I wasn't too sure about the hills and how the whole thing is put together. But overall, good job!

Lol i had the idea to have the dragon move and being so big and heavy it "shifts" the gold mounds to reveal more treasures, and didn't have enough time to think of how to execute it properly, hence the disappearing and appearing "hills" ... hahaha ... thanks for your time playing and commenting though!

What a lovely game! I really like the color palette and the dragon, especially its fire breath. Great game!
