How does your game meet GBJam's theme
the old gold is the old forgotten gold of various pirates, clear the stage to get the treasure map and dig for the gold. in the planets the little alienito is gathering to pay off his gambling debt

also it's just some good ol' fun gathering some good ol' gold.

the fact that you can randomize the color palette immediately makes this a fav. the art is so chaotic and fun, it would be nice to have some UI to show your health and gold amount without having to go to the menu!

Great job on this! This was a lot of fun and just had a surprising amount of features! Maybe if you continue developing you can add some kind of intro or tutorial to introduce the different mechanics and objectives.

IT WAS TOTALLY MY BAD

many more features are already coded, but i got lost thinking i underscoped. i had such a long list of fixes to apply and ended up having to not implement a lot, while not finishing with enough polish to even have a woking ending screen (it's bugged)

hopefully i get to revisit it once the scoring ends

I see, that totally makes sense! It happens so don't worry, hopefully you do get to revisit!

Nice touch putting randomize palette right in the pause menu, going from the blue set to a deep red one changed the whole mood of the same art. and the cutaway ship drifting through the stars with everything visible inside is a lovely way to open. nice job

thanks!

hopefully i get to revisit it at a chill pace to actually bugfix and polish
