How does your game meet GBJam's theme
Young Asher left the freezing fjords of Scandinavia for one reason: to fulfill his late great-grandfather’s dying wish. The old man asked to be buried with his lost gold medal, a relic from his youth that vanished years ago.
That simple promise pulls Asher straight into the feverish chaos of the California Gold Rush. But beneath the superficial greed of boomtowns and prospectors lies a stranger, older California. Deep in the fog-drenched redwoods and shadowed canyons, forgotten ruins whisper of things far more ancient than gold, and the land itself seems to shift with every relentless wave of fortune-seekers.
Armed with grit and a determination to finish his quest, Asher must survive wave after wave of desperate outlaws, shadowy frontier hazards, and the dark, uncanny mysteries lurking in the American wilderness.

A bit chaotic, but a great fundament with lots of potential. I too managed to escape the map somehow. I climbed a tree and kept climbing to get away from the onslaught.
You guys got talent, would love to see you finish something like this. Keep it up.
definitely a neat effect albeit chaotic. no idea if it's possible to win... that said, if I had had this on GB when I was a kid I would have been all over it.
I did manage to escape the map somehow. I rode a giant egg and jumped off of it over the edge, I think where the shop exit is supposed to be (maybe?).
Well that was crazy. Crazy cool. I haven't come across another 3D submission so far, but it kind of reminded me of GB camera graphics somehow. Very neat.

I dont see anyone beating you in the quirkiness catagory lol. im not sure whats going on but I had a fun time. I couldnt figure out how to get back to the shop to buy items but I was just killin it with the starting item. I found a tech that you can ride the green bacon looking guys and that was amazing. So far the most fun ive had out of all the games ive played. Great work!
Nice storybook opening, the fjord plate and the canyon with the tiny figure in it do real work before any gameplay starts. and a gold medal the old man wants buried with him is a lovely read on the theme, old and not about money. nice job
