How does your game meet GBJam's theme
The secondary theme is OLD GOLD. For us in Critter Lake that means the treasure's and experiencing you find and form while casting into the waters and reeling in your dream. Or maybe just the dreams of your fellow critter's.

I love fishing games, and it's so cozy! The music was also really great!
It's such a vibe. I love it.
Good old fishing game, very nostalgic. This game feels really polished, looks beautiful and the music is very nicee :> Only thing i would say could be improve is the reeling in, didn't really understand how it works fully but it can be just me.
The art and music in this game is fantastic. The art especially is super crisp and clear. The fishing mechanics are fun, though I think you can kinda cheese the reeling mechanic by tapping rapidly to detect when the line becomes stable without losing a lot of ground.
Also, I maxed out my fish/reel scores after selling all the fish from the lake 1 time. Not sure if that's intentional... also not sure if that had impact on my fishing abilities... it seemed like similar difficulty before/after the upgrades.
