Pretty short fun experience! I'd like to see a post-jam release. Here's some things to think about:

  • The game looks great! Fine job on the main character's animation.
  • Gameplay could definitely be polished a bit further... You can fall down from a cliff and jump mid-air which is like a textbook platformer bug lol. Also, it'd be a nice QoL if the camera started scrolling only after the player starts descending.
  • The soundtrack is pretty neat. Bummer that it got buggy at times for some reason (it restarted repeatedly and wouldn't get past the first 4 beats).

Anyway, congrats on submitting the game, keep at it :)

I liked the graphics and the gameplay was smooth. The soundtrack was nice as well, and I definitely felt like I was playing a Gameboy game! I personally would start the player/spike ceiling a screen apart from each other, as I died immediately as I started the game before I could process what was happening! Good work though!!

Super nice art and idea was interesting. I really had problems with the controls the layout.

I failed a lot of times (I think the game is either too hard for me, or I have skill issues).

I did like the game where it can go eventually!

Graphically very cool. I like the style. The gameplay concept somewhat works, though I think the feel is a bit messy. Starting so high is a bit frantic. Jumping is consistently high and could really use some vertical control. The overall pace is somewhat fast and hard to keep up with, like I'm never sure where the next jump will land. The keyboard control layout is not ideal either.

I'll also mention that Godot buttons do take mouse inputs by default, thus your menus can be clicked on.

I think there's some improvements to be made but good push!

This is faster than it looks, having to carefully time jumps and movement. I like it!

Good pixelrt, good mood fun to play :)

I wish this level would be much longer, jump is quite huge and hard to control. From other view point, game has potential and quite fun. Nice job

The jump feels a bit too unpredictable, and the placement of keyboard controls a bit uncomfortable, but it's a fun game, with nice sound and graphics :)

Congrats on finishing your game!

Character movement feels really nice! Great graphics. The ceiling coming down is a bit close in the beginning haha. And when I fell off screen I missed a lot of gold, perhaps the camera should stay with the player?

I enjoyed the game tho, and would like to know the meaning of the snake at the bottom of the well?

Cheers!

it just lives there

Simple and effective, I just have the impression that there is no point in mining gold, I haven't yet found how to use it and it doesn't prevent me from reaching the next levels, good job

I thought it was cool, but I also thought it could have been better.
