Very cute art and cool mechanic! Congrats on your first game!

I am not great at platformers, so I struggled a little, but the fire was cool! I like the character's color-changing and animation. I do wish there was more "gold" in the theme of the game. There wasn't much of an objective other than to collect the fire and reach the end. Maybe the collected fire could light up ancient ruins that match your level design, revealing something interesting and "gold"!

I think its quite interestingly designed in general but it's not quite fitting to the jams theme which I think is quite unfortunate.

As I said above, I do like quite a lot the design in general, as the levels have a quite well planned flow to it, has a nice little combination of both puzzle and platforming. I bet you'll do great in the future, keep it up!

As your first game, this is fantastic.

It has a lot of potential. I especially liked the last few rooms. Showing the player a collectable in a different screen like that is clever. And the last puzzle is also quite well designed, except for the possible "softlock" if you fail to grab the collectable as you descend. 

I second everyone else when it comes to the coyote time. However, I wouldn't change a thing when it comes to the little pixels all having collisions, except for maybe smoothing up a few surfaces. That's very "game boy" in a deliberate way that's hard to explain, there's just this vagueness to everything while the fact that you interact with every single bit of rubble in the ruins grounds you; it feels very intimate, and it makes you wonder what this place used to be. I think that feeling, in that pretty red palette is at the core of this game, and that if you expanded on these ideas you could easily turn it into something that gives Celeste, Cave Story, Noita vibes.

Nice first game! I enjoyed it, though I lost my fire at the end and got stuck with no way to progress to final screen. (I jumped inside area and got locked in) Good job!

Lovely little game! I like the idea a lot, could be a fun concept with more of a story behind it :)

A pretty good first game with a little bit of a puzzling aspect added to the platforming, it's a shame it has no correlation with the jam's theme!
The jump could be a bit less punishing, probably by adding some coyote time or making it just a tad less fast. Very nice job on your first game :)

It's a nice game, Especially for a first game I really like the concept. I'm not sure if it's just me being stupid, but it doesn't seem to have any correlation with the second theme, which I find kinda sad , because there is probably some way it could've been implemended. Maybe something like Midas touch, but instead of turning other things into gold, it turns the player into gold instead, or something idk.

Pretty nice considering this was your first game! A small tip for future projects: consider adding coyote time which would make platforming experience much more enjoyable :D (definitely not me being stuck on 2nd level for 5 minutes lol)
