I LOOOOOOVE hardcore games, and this is typically the type of game that could've been in my steam wishlist if I found out it was just a demo. I felt like every fight was really well made and I actually had a fighting chance once I mastered the parrying mechanic. I like that the game sends you back to the start, it's very arcady and it forces you to learn the patterns and perfect the previous fights to learn the new ones, excellent submission ! :)

The palette is really good, the music is pretty nice, in a way it reminded me a lot of System Erasure's VoidStranger.
The twist of having a game that has already started is pretty good too, and I like the effort of putting little scripted sequences to emphasize the idea of a world long gone (probably because I am working on something similar atm!)
All in all, chapeau bas! :)
Again, an excellent puzzle game with great mysteries that kept me hooked for hours. A lot of the little clues hidden everywhere help to find most of the crowns, with one of them being way trickier to get :)
It's a shame there is no sound, but solodeving is already hard work!
The storytelling at work here is amazing, and I wished to know more about this little world. Congratulations!
Cool game quite reminiscent of porgy from UFO50 :)
Playing it felt quite fine, the adaptative music makes it quite immersive!
I felt I wasn't really progressing quickly, and there wasn't much treasure to find in the sea, which makes it hard to keep playing on the first few cycles. The everchanging cavern makes for nice scenarios though!
It looks really nice and feels very retro, the palette is lovely!
Fun inventory management game with one-button combat ! It's definitely a well polished and super well stylized experience.
The gameplay itself isn't something novel but it manages to be engaging all throughout!
The music is a banger and the vibes are immaculate, definitely one of the better games of the jam :)
Good fun, quite simple grinder! It doesn't exactly renovates itself the longer you play, which makes it a little boring towards the end states.
The humor is pretty funny and it's a game that emulates really well the gameboy feeling in my opinion, the SFX is satisfying and it's a blast to play through during the first few minutes :)
Overall, a quite solid game!
Something I like in this game is that you're allowed to figure out yourself how everything works!
The mixels in this game are pretty jarring, though some of the set pieces actually look nice!
The boat is a tad too long for my taste and the wells of oil are so full that you are going to be draining them for a while, which is a bit of a shame when you can also be naviguating the waters.
As for the sound design, it works! The music can be repetitive quickly though.
Looks and plays like a gameboy game, though I wasn't sure what the gameplay was about...
I feel like it's a luck-based fighting system?
The animations and expressions are really cool, it's clear from the sprite art that this is the aspect that was worked on most!
No sound though, which is a shame because this is the type of game that would really benefit from it, to make the gameplay more dynamic :)
A fine narrative game, with not much emphasis on gameplay, which is okay. The game interpretes this jam theme quite well in my opinion by having a more original take on the meaning of "old gold"!
The soundtrack is chill, it doesn't do much to surprise the player but it's good enough to set the mood.
Graphics are clean enough, my favorite image being the yearbook picture :)
Good game! I like how much variety there is. Though, the Fishdex closes itself instantly when I open it, and there are a lot of tutorial boxes at the beginning that I think can be a bit annoying, maybe there is a way to replace that with in-game dialogue instead? (It could just be a me problem!)
Some of the text (ie: npc interaction for selling fish) isn't centered.
The music is a vibe! The incremental gameplay is pretty nice too, I can see people having fun with that.
Congrats on the submission!
Hey there! A nice and simple incremental game!
Read the game's description a bit and I thought you'd like a few tips :
- Most fun in incremental games comes from player interaction with the environment (as you coined it), and mashing the a button to mine could already make the experience more engaging, rather than waiting for the cooldown ! :)
- More importantly, a lot of the time, having a direct feedback on screen (like tons of gold falling) can make your players satisfied. They will feel like theres real progress ongoing! Having big increments separated by moments of nothing is less engaging than seeing constant incrementation.
As for bug reports, I got sent to the shadow realm after hiring the mining guy (the loading screen stayed on).
The art is good! It really feels like a gameboy game! Nice job on getting this out for the jam !!
Hey there, I've seen your comment on the other game.
Honestly your game is pretty fun, I'd say you have a pretty strong baseline for a game that has a non-zero amount of good potential!
Maybe if you just tweak the camera to make it more tight, it would actually make the gameplay feel even better. It was a good amount of fun to speedrun even then.
On the side of game design, I think favoring a more Meat Boy to Celeste approach (with bite sized levels instead of long screens) would actually improve your game even more!
Cheers.

Can you beat my time? :)
