How does your game meet GBJam's theme
Gold Rusher is a game directly inspired of the secondary theme, in its mechanics of digging Gold and old Treasures. The game takes place in a fantasy version of the Old West, and is using palettes that refers to the theme as well.

Love love love! The gameplay was fun especially as you upgraded and could dig in better ways. I absolutely love the palette swap and music change between the three levels! The characters were so cute and the art for the treasures (along with basically everything in this game) is phenomenal! You even made sure that the town area dirt resets if the player dug it all out (which I totally did)! The only recommendation I would have is to add a mini map to see what areas you've dug out already and which you are missing. Overall, super amazing game! 5 stars all around!
A real nice experience. It had really quirky characters.
I enjoy digging games so I enjoyed this one alot. The art feels so amazing and the dittering effect so clean. The game is very well balanced and polished, well done!
Everything was pretty awesome, some of the smaller treasures were pretty annoying but that was overall fine. The art, music, and sound design was nice and meshed well with each other. The TNT was annoying sometimes, it feels like theres not enough time to dodge if you hit it by accident. If it took a fraction of a second longer it would be fine. Aside from that its awesome
The Graphics and music are awesome and really well done. The only real issue I had was digging, my suggestion would be maybe some sort of mechanic where you can charge up the dig and blast away at a bunch at a time, at some sort of cost/risk.
Either way, great entry!
The fantasy take on the gold rush era combined with the mixed npc-s, mouse, carrots, golems(?) gave the game its own cool vibe paired with the represetnation that was spot on.
Graphics wise the game look cool, the dithering and spritework is really well done.
Music and sound effects are way to loud sadly.
Digging was fun, maybe a tad too spammy with the buttons, but searching for treasure adds a little mystery to it.
Good idea, well executed!
A fine incremental game with a refined digging mechanic. Unlike a few other incremental games, it manages to keep the momentum by adding more mechanics the further you go down. It's a fun time with astonishingly ccurate graphics and a pretty good soundtrack! Congrats on the submission :)
