How does your game meet GBJam's theme
When I thought of my own 'old gold' and what I myself treasure the most, it is most definitely all the crafts and art I collected from super talented artists and what I myself made over the years. I also happened to have just read up about crabs a lot, so here is a weird combination of the two, enjoy! :)

Not guilty! Wahoo!!
Fun and cute. My only real gripe was that it felt too difficult to avoid the spikes because of the hurtboxes. Maybe just a skill issue though. :)
Great little game! The atmosphere is really well done. I didn't understand the crab court at all, but it was fun!
Very nice and smooth gameplay experience. This plays like a fine platformer and you have full control over your character. The level design was actually very competent, with the shark chasing level being a definite standout. There were a couple of quirks, like moving your character while the camera is still on the boss but all in all a very enjoyable playthrough.
For the alloted time and constraints put upon us, I feel like this is well on the way to becoming an actual game. And a very good one at that.

Nice inversion, opening on greed driving everyone to the sea floor and then making the thing you want a handmade sponge hat turns the theme into an argument. and the in world hints listing all three key options for each button is a considerate touch. nice job
I'm so so bad at platformers (I'm still fighting the first level--I WILL free that crab) but this is so delightful it's got me hooked. Best gameplay features: 1) must get hat back is maybe the best goal ever and 2) coins bad, maybe??? (not sure what the consequence is but I'm deathly afraid of finding out). The pixel art is absolutely amazing and I adore the crab sprite, especially the double jump-claws up detail. Great game, thanks so much for sharing it!
Update: I freed the crab! Had to throw in the towel on the tiger shark level (but wow was that a cool chase) because I kept dying on the first three spikes haha, but carried on through the other two levels (if that's the right word for those?). Loved the ending sequence so much (excellent crab facts btw). Again, great work!
i loooooooooove everything about this game, there was clearly a lot of love put into this, i adoooooore the audio so much, the art is PEAK absolute CINEMA and the controls are the least confusing controls i encountered so far, you really did think of a lot of details i truly admire this game so much
