Who We Are
Northhack is a publisher operating two studios and collaborating with a wide international network of developers, artists, designers, and creators. We also run a community Discord where we host internal and external game jams, improvement sprints, and collaborative events that bring creators together to build, learn, and iterate.
Our mission is simple: Create a transparent, supportive ecosystem where talented people can ship great games together.
Our Studio & Projects
Nordstern — Action & Online Worlds
Nordstern is developing the entire OXIDE franchise, which includes:
- Oxide : Arena — a fully playable multiplayer online 3D top‑down action‑combat space shooter. Built on a server‑authoritative architecture and designed to scale into a long‑term online universe.
- Oxide : No Final Run — a single‑player, skill‑based top‑down space action game focused on movement, mastery, and expressive combat. This is the current focus of the Northhack Creator Summit.
No Final Run is the foundation of a larger vision. After release, all assets, systems, and tech will be carried forward into Oxide Arena, expanding the universe into a full online experience. Here is the link for our Demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4341610/No_Final_Run/

How We Work
We’re a multicultural, remote‑friendly organization with collaborators across Europe and North America. While sustained profitability has not yet been reached, we operate with transparency: Compensation includes a share of the game’s net profits, distributed pro‑rata based on each team member’s level of investment.
As a collaborator, and as long as we cannot provide full‑time positions, you retain ownership of any asset you produce during your time at Northhack. Northhack receives a license to use those assets for current and future projects.
