I loved this one. You mentioned you were considering developing it further based on the reception, and I think you totally should. Like the others in the comments, I also couldn't get past level 3, but I'm sure you'll be able to balance that out with more testing. This type of game is extremely scalable, and I have a hunch that you've already got a lot of ideas. Even in this simpler jam state though it feels great to play. The hex grid is super impressive too, I have looked into making those in the past and it seems like a big undertaking (thanks for linking the guide you used for that btw). One quick change I would suggest is making more gaps in the map so it's easier to corner enemies or bottleneck them a bit.
I hope you keep working on this, i'd love to play with more builds.

I'm glad you found it worthy of more updates, and you're right, I already have a lot of ideas to implement but I'm invested now on refactoring the code and solving bugs, because I've made a mess in the last two days of jam to make it at least playable.
