There's a nice basis here that I think you could expand a lot. Shame that you ran out of time though. I think exploring those first two rooms had a nice vibe to it. Took me a minute to realize that the bookshelves with dialog had some extra books on them, so it was nice that I wouldn't have to click on every individual bookshelf to check if there were dialog. The final witch fight was a little rough, though I don't know if I was misunderstanding some of the abilities. It felt like the strong attack's damage wasn't lowered by my defense ability or counterattack, when I figured it would be. The designs for the enemies were pretty cool too, and I think adding some of those stories right before the boss fight is a good way to give them some hype before the fight.

How does your game fit the Magical Girl Genre?
Elena (the green magical girl) has the power related to sounds and music. The librarian also a magical girl whose power is storing and archiving anything in the books (however I didn't manage to include the librarian boss fight, and the sounds and music skills Elena supposed to use weren't included either)
Which theme(s) do you pick?
Blue Library
How does your game fit those theme(s)?
The main character is looking for a book and that book is at a library full of blue
If you follow any of the optional challenges, elaborate as you like.
I don't consider to follow the gambling challenge but there are RNG mechanic in combat (mostly if the attack hit or miss)
Were the assets for your game made during the jam? Elaborate as you see fit.
The custom assets was made by me during the jam (character sprites, bookshelves). The other assets are default assets in RPG Maker VX Ace that I have legal use.
