The intro was really cool with the bespoke music! Really gets you in the mood. At the start I was worried that the game would lack interactivity after trying to hit some trees and rocks, but thankfully I found some bushes to cut down right after (though it would have felt nice if there was any feedback for those other actions). Also I have to say that more games need to have an indicator of how many dialogue boxes are left… It’s a seriously good quality of life feature. I almost got stuck when it was time to push the first rock, before I saw in the GIF under the game that you just have to walk into it to push. The game is very polished for a game jam game, visually. In some tight corridors surrounded by lava, it was very easy to get a little bit too close and end up getting bounced between the two pools and losing almost all of your health. The hitboxes were quite unforgiving when it came to hazards. Also I did wish the boss’ crystals were easier to see, it took me a second since they were in the very corners of the screen, and the other two were fully off-screen. The music as a whole was very fitting, even if the sound left something to be desired. Overall this was a very ambitious game for a game jam, and y’all did well, so good job.
