  • Solid game I would prefer if it used the Rhythm game control format of 2 buttons left and 2 buttons right, SD/KL is my preferred option, the reason for that is you can alternate fingers. Personally I would have wanted a Punch Out style view for the game, and I do think the game is a tad bit too hard, but it is very good, and would be great with some control clean up.
  • I really love the graphics, super cute, but I find the gameplay very repetitive and the hit detection feels very hit-or-miss and quite unforgiving.

i like the artsyle (i mean the urchin fatfleet skin was pretty much one of my fav things) and i just wanna say that after beating the game its genuinly one of the hardest things i have played, the final level (hard one) GENUINLY was harder than NKG from hollow knight bro, SPECIALLY since sometimes it actually just didnt register my inputs

Developer

Yeah some other people had issues too so i added an easier mode in the post-jam version and fixed the input bugs

I liked the gameplay, but I kinda wish there was a backing track to accompany the rhythm you get from hitting the right beats.

I tried to add something like that but my music composing skills are definitely lacking

Here is a clean, natural translation in English with the updated explanation and code context:

You can do a manual mapping of the music in a file, like...

Music Second
1 0:01 blue, 0:02 blue, 0:03 red

And make a simple script so that when you press "Space", it maps the note—that way you sync with the rhythm and build it as you play

Then, you create a mathematical equation to predict how many pixels it needs to move to hit a target position X, which matches the current second, defining exactly when to hit it:

position.x += equation

It’s similar to how Friday Night Funkin' (FNF) works, just a bit simpler. This lets you sync everything through code in real time. You can store it in a simple .json file and load it later into a global variable, like:

var track_map : Dictionary = Global.TRACK_MAP[Global.level]

I translate this with Gemini, but don't worry. I write it 100%

Developer

No I mean like I'm not good at writing music

u dont need 2 write music, only do a key mapping. Like music_01.json for sync the music with the keys

great style but terrible gameplay

Developer

What did you not like about it?

the audio and click times where out of sink so any correct click would register as a misclick. makes it very tedious and aggrivating to play. everything else is really solid.

Developer

I'm not really sure what you mean, this is the first time I've heard someone having this issue.

maybe its just an issue for me then. :/

super cute!! i love your art as always and the gameplay was quite decent at being difficult enough where it wasn't too easy to get the hang of too quickly but still generous enough that you could get the hang of it after a few tries!
