You also did very well!

Wow it was your first jam? You guys did an excellent job! Super impressive.

I want to preface that I don't want to come across as full of myself or anything. I had a fun time with the jam and mostly joined to practice my development skills. I am disappointed by the judging results, though. Games that have a lot of bugs are ranked higher than ones that run with little to no issue. Also, some of the feedback doesn't make a lot of sense if it's supposed to be constructive criticism. I would think that the judges would be able to finish all of the games in 3 weeks, but it seems that they were unable to, which is a bit of a letdown.

Yeah some other people had issues too so i added an easier mode in the post-jam version and fixed the input bugs

No I mean like I'm not good at writing music

I tried to add something like that but my music composing skills are definitely lacking

Exec + intern combo is crazy

Heavy Weight Jam community · Created a new topic Fanart

I drew fanart of 2 of the character designs I really liked from this Jam, Till and Trouble and OwOrm!

I'm pretty sure that's the final stage.

I'm not really sure what you mean, this is the first time I've heard someone having this issue.

I ran into a few bugs in the 2nd level, thought I'd share the one that hasn't been shared already.

It was fun! I enjoyed interacting with the other characters upon growing larger. Though I did find a bug? (unsure if it is one) where when you give all of your coins to the goddess it only lets you give enough to level up. Also the level design in the 4th level was a bit questionable with having to walk over the spikes to get to a lever you couldn't see until after traversing over the spikes. But I did have a good time and I really enjoyed the art and dialogue. Good stuff!

This game was not at all what I expected, it was really funny being slammed all around the ring and super fun to jump around quickly. Its rough around the edges but I find the voiceovers (especially when you lose) to be very enthusiastic and I love it. Great work.

Some of the targets felt too low to hit with the watch, but that could also be a skill issue. Great writing! I definitely cackled a few times while playing this. And the artwork with such a small amount of pixels is honestly astonishing with only 2 weeks of development time. Amazing job!

I very much enjoyed the starting area's overworld music and I thought the artstyle was extremely charming, especially for a game made with RPGmaker. Shame the time constraints left you unable to finish it, but I still had an enjoyable time with everything that was there!

What did you not like about it?

I added an easier mode in the post-jam version, it slows down the rate of notes being played and increases the window in which you can catch them.

I like the little frog with a thimble on their head as a character its very goofy.

Seems like sometimes the plants don't despawn after their health drops to 0, and the enemies keep focusing on them while the plants themselves cant be selected or attack, which means you can just stall forever. If this were to be patched and some other adjustments made, I'm sure it'd be just as functional and fun as it is adorable. Super cute game and I hope to see more development!

This is a really cool idea I think, I fw the latex infection stuff heavily. I just wish it wasn't so punishing to lose a character. Maybe the infection chance percentages could be increased? Or maps could have more cover? Aside from that, great proof of concept!

This game is very fun! Hard to grasp, but once you get the hang of it, you feel really cool. The only changes I'd suggest are a more fluid camera and maybe the ability to zoom or pan the screen view. Great work!

The game was hard to grasp, I really wasnt sure what I was doing, but I still managed to win I guess? Also going fullscreen seemed to mess things up, at least on the title screen. It kind of reminds me of Plague inc. but on a more localized scale. Despite my issues I still enjoyed watching the characters waddle around the office and the art was beautiful as always.

I think it could benefit a lot from the game not pausing during the dialogue since there is so much during the tutorial.

The goblin girl is so pretty, shame she's in a relationship like that. But I am glad she got her happy ending. The art was very well done!

This game is just downright adorable, the artstyle and sound design are top notch. Great work!

The rockstar is definitely my new fave, loving this update!

I just wanted to say that your art is gorgeous

I hope I can get everything done in time, my work schedule is making it quite the grind. But what I have so far I'm already very proud of.

Great work!

I found a couple of issues, one is an issue with the collision in the palmetto's broom closet (i think thats what its called) and the other is Dr Marie being invisible and presumably very fat at this spot. Love the humor tho, good game so far!

I only have a mouse to draw with (which is also why my sprites were a little rough) and I don't draw furries much, but I super loved the chatterbox from Chubway so I drew them.

The reason why I made it so you always get 5 coins back after buying syrup is so you dont end up with nothing and having to go back to the first car to get more money. Also, the tip system was to give players a sense of a final score while making sure they still played the game instead of holding onto a ton of coins they earned in earlier rounds.

I do agree on the music aspect. I plan on adding some original songs soon. I've also made a patch that fixes the issue with the Bronk'r game.

Thank you for your feedback, having nobody else to give insight on the balance of your game while developing it makes it hard to get right.

I fiddled with it and it seems its back now. Weird.

Interesting idea using words to demonstrate the goddess getting fatter. I think maybe with more testing, polish, and some pictures, you could have something nice here.

As others have said the hit detection is a little off but everything seemed to work fine other than that. Pretty fun!

I couldn't find the button and also the intermission screen like hurt my brain somehow lol. Fun idea though I'm unsure how it fits in the theme.

This game is really aesthetically impressive! I really wish I could see more, but every time I get the guidebook from Barse in the first encounter my game crashes.

Edit: The graphic fixed version fixed my crash issue!

I really like Zat! The game is kinda bare bones but it is a game jam submission. Its a nice time!

THIS GAME IS SO GAYYY I LOVE IT!! The sprite seemed like it maxxed out in size like 3 nights in, but other than that its very good. The art is adorable and the music is very cozy, love it!

Very short but that's okay, since it was a kind of short jam. The art is very cute and I absolutely adore the comic theming. If you do want to add more after the jam (which I would absolutely be interested in)  I'd suggest not making the basic "Beatdown" attack an instant kill.
