Overall pretty neat. The puzzle pieces felt kind of superfluous as they didn't really end up changing anything, I still collected them all regardless. The only major issue I have with this game is the overall lack of any sound, which is a pattern I'm noticing with these game jam submissions (that being most of them lacking any).
A clean, minimalist, short platformer—and bug-free, too. Though I didn't quite get the point of the puzzle pieces.
I also would have liked some musical accompaniment—even just a couple of notes—as it would have really suited the game's style. And adding a few more traps would have encouraged more careful gameplay.
Nice simple little platformer!
Really liked the character design and overall graphics, it does have a solid gameboy vibe for me.
I had a hard time figuring the controls on keyboard, especially start and interact, as I didn't see any instructions in game or on the page but maybe I missed them.
Too bad for the sound as it could have overhauled the experience in my opinion, even simple ones for the jump and picking up the puzzle pieces.
Still all in all a solid game! Congratz!

A simple game, The jumping was nice but oh boy is that little bugger fast. I did not particularly care for the backtracking but overall was a simple and sweet game.

no issue at all! in fact i didnt know anything either about music but tried to make something just because i always feel like there's some kind of gap when a game lacks any audio or even sound effects but that could be just me, you could try working something out for the sake of learning a tool like beepbox and update the game after the jam, i'll be there to support you <3
