Fun little game. I do like the visual and gameplay feel. It's fun to swing your arms. I wish there was some more swinging shenanigans. I do think though that the pace is a bit fast and the player is a bit big. A camera that pans further left or right based on direction would help. I also feel the controls are a little misleading for a GB game. Like A & B are both punches and 'start' is your jump button which doesn't make much sense. Probably condense the punches to alternate on one button and jump on the other. I didn't even know there was a jump button on spacebar at first as well.

But otherwise, I think it is visually fun. It's tough too and that as well has to do with player size. But I did beat it and get to the gold room at the top. I liked this!

This was pretty hard but the movement is really interesting once you start getting used to it. I really liked the climbing/grab mechanic and the scrolling tower looks great. Definitely has that old Gameboy platformer feeling.

Really good looking game here! Quite an elegant use of the 2bits color pallet. The scrolling with the sun looks very nice. I also like that the title screen is part of the actual level.

The gameplay is nice. Even if it's not very pleasant to play with a keyboard, I'm sure that it would be all alright if played on an actual console.

Really great job overall!

Too bad that there is no sound at all, it would really add to the mood of the adventure.

And last complain, I can't clearly see the connection to the theme of the Jam within the game. I suppose that the goal of the character is to grab some gold at the top of the tower or something similar, but I don't feel like this is a really gold-centered game.

This was quite the challenge, but was very fun, and very quirky with the enemy designs!

Very Challenging Platformer Wasn't able to beat it fully but I do suck at platformers. Was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the grappling mechanic

Definitely a challenging platformer, or I just suck....   I couldn't get up the first area though I'm sure is operator error. Music is nice, gave me some anxiety and pressure to move quickly.  Loved the movement mechanics even though I was terrible at it. Either way, great submission and I enjoy trying it out.

first of all , LOVE this game , you clearly explained every thing

i would like to note that there is a jam rule broken broken in the ratios , at some transitions / movement we see only an increment of a pixel being covered therefor braking the screen rez rule , but because i don't know your viewport size i can tell exactly

Thanks a lot for playing. I am glad you enjoyed :)

As for the ratios, my project settings in godot are 160 x 144 but I scaled them 5x on the itch.io embed while keeping the aspect ratio, didn't think that would change the internal game resolution, my mind glazed over it but that must have added pixels and smoothed the transition. I just wanted it to look nice on the page and didn't notice.
