How does your game meet GBJam's theme
My game fits the secondary theme because "old gold" are memories of the past that the character clings to, so she can get out of the abyss she's falling into, related to depression.

i can wall jump on the edge of the screen

its not a bug, its a easter egg lol im joking, thanks for the feedback

Cool idea for the game jam! Controls did feel quite finickity, especially the space bar not picking up a wall jump. I also do wish there were check points of some kind, maybe when the player interacted with the their memories it maybe could save the player's place there instead of going back all the way back to the start. Other than that though, good job!

Developer

Thanks for the answer! Not having a save point was on purpose, initially it was, but I removed it in order to bring a greater challenge to the game. Probably due to lack of tests with other people, I went through everything very fast lololol

Definitely an interesting conceopt. Controls felt a bit sticky and using a fourth color could have set the art off more.

Developer

Thanks for the comment! I was very confused about the colors, some feedbacks saw 5 colors, others 7, others 3. So I spent a lot of time trying to find a balance between beautiful art and the 4 colors. It turned out that I opted for 3 colors to avoid problems.

Hi there. Thanks for submitting your game, but I just wanted to point out that it breaks a few rules.
1. It's not conforming to the 160x144 resolution
2. It's using more than 4 colors
If you can, please do what you can to resolve these issues. I won't disqualify your game because it's clear you tried. If you need assistance the gbjam discord is full of helpful people.

Thanks!

Developer
