Thank you for the intriguing world building! The animations and visual effects really contribute to the immersion.

It seems the game has potential but it very much depends on how you develop the gameplay further - is it going to be a grid based top down game and the platforming remains a mini game? Or is it just the introductory cutscene in a top down style and the rest of the game is a side scroller?

Maybe you will find my take on the tactical genre interesting.

Good luck!

The original idea was that you would play your way through the book as a 2D platformer, progressing from page to page, with the boss fight serving as the finale. I had already finished the intro sequences, but then I ran out of time because I had some things going on in real life. So in the end, I only had enough time to make the boss fight, and even that had to be a stripped-down version.

I originally also wanted to have a proper ending where the old couple finally gets to see each other again.

Right, so it would be like two worlds - platformer in the book and top down outside. Sounds good.

Yes, the old couple meeting again would definitely fit the celebration part of the theme and bring the story to a satisfying closure.

Good luck with this project!
