Formation: Phase Defects in Calcium Events
During learning, calcium floods into the system. That triggers conformational shifts in the lattice—tubulin spinning, local chemistry warping. Phase defects form spontaneously:
dψ/dt = D∇²ψ - α(|ψ|² - 1)ψ + iβψ + η(r,t)
This is a Ginzburg–Landau equation. ψ is the conformational field. Vortices emerge during the event itself, not pre-existing. They form where the structure is under load—exactly like the fungal network scarring under pressure.
D = diffusion/coherence spread
α = nonlinearity strength
β = internal rotation
η = noise input
Vortices emerge during tubulin conformational shifts (e.g., calcium influx events), not before o
r after.
