i found a fix for it for you people who doesnt wanna wait until its updated. go on this link (https://ezgif.com/webp-to-png-bulk-converter) and put all misc pictures in there and then click the Download all as zip button and drag all of the pictures back into the misc folder.
If you dont know how to get to the Misc folder you click on Game then images and then find the misc folder.
Not sure if this is different because I use Linux, but the Misc folder is in the images.rpa file. You'll need to something like this https://grviewer.com/tab/rpa-extractor-online to look at the file structure, and you can download the Misc folder, then do the above instruction and drop the newly converted items to the Images folder contained in a Misc folder and it should work.
