The sheer amount of clicking and verbose text makes this really hard to enjoy. After some point it just becomes pointless to even read the text.

We actually completely agree with you on this. We're currently working on the Steam version and actively trying to address exactly these issues — reducing unnecessary clicking, streamlining the text, and making the overall experience more enjoyable.
