One More Orbit by estona815

My game is One More Orbit, a tiny one-button browser game about passing a spark between six little stars.

LINK: Playable browser link coming before the jam deadline.

The heart of my TINY game is timing one small jump, then seeing whether the spark reaches the next star.

I’ll consider it finished when a player can start, time six jumps with a tap or Space, reach an ending, and retry.

Something I want to learn or try is making a complete timing game with one action and clear visual feedback.

My first step is building and testing the six-star route and its retry loop.

My next check-in will be September 27, 2026, with the playable link and any fixes.

Since my last check-in, I finished and tested One More Orbit: all six jumps, the win and loss endings, instant retry, keyboard controls, and mobile taps.

Next, I’m going to watch for feedback and fix any play issues. The complete browser game is free and sound-free.

Hey Estona, thanks for submitting!

I really like that you took the time to give clear instructions. I love a reaction time test. It was super easy though, I didn't really get much of a challenge out of it.

With all the instructions, it did feel a little busy - do you think if you removed all the text, you could still teach the player how to play the game? I bet you could. AI tends to love over-explaining stuff, and puts containers inside containers with no real reason for it. If you tell it to move the content out of the containers and just show you the gameplay elements you want to see front-and-center, and remove all that noisy text, I think you'll be onto something really clear and tangible. :)

As a reference if it helps, I made a reaction time test in my game 003 CRACK. I think it's pretty understandable exactly what you need to do from the very start, and there's no text or outer containers.

Anyways, thanks again for dropping a game in, you should be proud of this one! Hope to see you for the next TINY Jam in October.
