Question About Drawing Rule

Can we trace over our scan, add color, stuff like that? Obviously nothing AI;  I'm just thinking about the end presentation and what a scan would look like next to typed out text.

Nah. The goal is for the maps to be fully analog and use only physical mediums, so no editing or digital altering after the fact. Treat it like a classic cut-and-paste zine.

Can the photographed or scanned map be slightly contrast / lightness / saturation adjusted in case if the photograph or scan doesn't match the actual map (i.e. for the purpose of matching the original map)? I can photograph or scan my watercolour maps but with photos the colours often become washed out and the scanning results are overly bright, to the point of being garish.

Yeah, that's okay if you're trying to preserve the look of the original piece.

Thank you for the clarification.

I do pottery and was thinking that it could be fun to make my hexes out of clay. Just want to confirm that would qualify. I’ll hopefully have them fired and photographed by the deadline, but worst case could have some in-progress shots I could use if they don’t turn out.

Absolutely yes, please do! That sounds amazing!

This is a genuinely amazing idea.
