I'm not sure it's worth attempting to resurrect a dead game in such a hostile environment when so many community attempts at remaking Hardware Tycoon exist already (most of them have not made much progress yet, but you can ask around on the Discord server).
I just feel like effort would be better spent making a new, bigger and better, game essentially from scratch.
Alternatively, you can look into package.nw modding that's all about replacing game files like so. There are a few mods that make use of it over on ModDB.
