just genuinely curious, this not satire. I wanna see your definition of a well-written, beautiful art, original idea of a horror visual that is not meant to be predatory.
But I do want to make this clear, so there is no confusion. That I do not agree with your opinion, only because it lacks clear examples of what you’re trying to prove. It feels like a rotten-tomato review.
If you would have just provided examples such: as how you want to a specific scene to play out between the love interests and player? What do you want to know about the characters specifically, without it just being a lore dump? How can the art approve specifically, while still retaining the uncanny and suspenseful atmosphere? How it can be more original, from the supposedly hundred of thousands of self-inserts of monster clown fuckery that flooding the visual novel industry? Also because of differences of cultures, there will be different expectations. This is a Brazilian game translated into different dialects. Different standards of horror for each one.
But I also want to note that the game it self, is not the only thing that makes it popular. It’s the fandom. It’s the people who have played this and create their own content of their experiences or head canons, off a visual novel that hasn’t been fully developed yet.
I want to understand your experience for myself, from the other visual novels games that you have played. So I can see, where you’re coming from in terms of standards. That you were looking for in this self-insert, dark romance, horror, visual novel.
