Oh yes, this is very necessary for the game! We had the same thoughts while testing and tried to think of solutions, but didn't manage to add any of them in time.
But other than that, really glad to hear you enjoyed it so much and kept playing so long! :D
It's so hard to know if a game is fun while making it, especially without time to playtest with other people.
